Win10, VS 2017 angular 4 with asp.net core template.

I have a very simple angular directive that will fail on server side rending if I do not include the constructor that does an addEventListener as shown below. If I remove the constructor or don't do the addEventListener I have to remove the asp_prerender_module tag so I don't get the exception.

I tried a constructor without the addEventListener and one without ElementRef but they both give the same error.
